A coffee vending machine is low-maintenance, not no-maintenance. A few minutes of regular cleaning keeps the coffee tasting right, prevents clogs, and extends the machine’s life. This is a general routine — always follow the instructions for your specific model, and lean on your warranty and AMC for anything mechanical.
Daily
- Wipe the dispensing nozzle and drip tray — this is where residue and drips build up fastest.
- Empty and rinse the drip tray.
- Check premix levels and top up so the machine never dispenses a weak or empty cup.
- Wipe the front panel and buttons so the machine stays presentable to customers.
Weekly
- Run the machine’s rinse/flush cycle if it has one (the Neo series includes auto-flush).
- Clean the mixing bowls and whipper chambers where premix is mixed with water — this is the most important step for taste and hygiene.
- Check the water supply and tubing for kinks or leaks.
Monthly
- Deep-clean the premix canisters before refilling to prevent caking and clumping.
- Inspect the hot-water tank area for scale build-up, especially in hard-water areas.
- Check seals and the front door for wear.
Common issues and quick checks
| Symptom | First thing to check |
|---|---|
| Weak or watery coffee | Premix level and mixing-bowl cleanliness |
| No dispensing | Water supply, and whether the hot tank has heated up |
| Slow drip / clogging | Nozzle and mixing chamber for dried premix |
| Leaking | Drip tray seating and tubing connections |
When to call for service
Cleaning is yours to do; mechanical and electrical issues are ours. Every FIFI machine comes with a 1-year warranty that includes free on-site service, so during that period our team attends to the machine at your site. After the warranty, an Annual Maintenance Contract keeps that on-site support going. A machine that is down earns nothing — do not delay a service call to save a small cost.
